Thymosin Beta-4 (Tβ4) is a naturally occurring peptide that is a key component of the cell cytoskeleton, playing a crucial role in cell migration and organization. It is found in virtually all human cells and is a vital protein involved in the healing and regeneration of various tissues. TB-500 is a synthetic version of Tβ4. While TB-500 is a fragment of the full Tβ4 protein, it retains the core biological activity responsible for tissue repair and cell protection. Unlike some other peptides, Tβ4 is not a hormone and does not have a hormonal signaling function. Instead, it works at a cellular level by promoting the migration of various cell types, including endothelial and stem cells, to sites of injury. This action facilitates wound healing, stimulates the formation of new blood vessels (angiogenesis), and reduces inflammation.
